We have changed a few things in office in terms of appearance and choices of care.

The office is now called “Power Advanced Athlete Health Care”. Most of you are aware I have always worked with athletic injuries throughout my career. Because of this and to advance my education, I recently got a Master’s degree in Sport Science and Rehabilitation. This doesn’t mean I’ve restricted my practice only to treating athletic injuries, but I have further modified my approach to patient complaints into using athletic injury methodology to solving patient problems. I chose this because I feel these methods get you back into your game of life quicker, in the same way an athlete needs to get back on the field of play as soon as safely possible.

The function of protecting and developing health must rank even above that of restoring it when it is impaired.

We have a new website! It will explain more of how we have advanced our treatment options. Please take a look and feel free to tell me what you think of it. I will always respect your thoughts, suggestions and complaints in improving our services to you! My personal email address is Dr.Ray@Athletepowers.com. This email address can be your personal source to ask questions in letting me know how we can best answer your health care needs.

I’d like to explain how we now have the ability to treat you distinctively in our approach to your problems. Most people come to see a doctor after they begin to have symptoms or get hurt, then we treat their condition. This is called the “Reactive Approach” to health care. Something happens and then treatment is administered for this problem. This is the standard people are used to in terms of health care everywhere, including here.

Because of my international experiences in athlete care, I now have a greater knowledge and certifications in what is known as “Proactive Care”. This type of care discovers signs and symptoms prior to them becoming a problem in an attempt to prevent an injury or condition from taking you out of your game regardless of what kind of athletes you are. We use this athletic approach on what I call an occupational athletes (work), domestic athletes (home), professional athletes or weekend warriors of all ages regardless of what your game of life is.

If you haven’t been in to see us recently, you should consider finding out how our innovative approach to non-surgical, functional, manual musculoskeletal medicine (bone, ligament, tendon, muscle, joint spine) can do for you.
